However, only Sage, Elle’s friend and co-worker, had a nice parent. I also really liked the side characters except for Darien’s father and Elle’s step-mother and sister Chloe, which we’re not supposed to like them so that makes sense.

I just would have liked to see Elle do it a little sooner at the end of the book so she didn’t need to be “saved” I guess. I loved how awkward and unsure of themselves they both were and how they both really fight for themselves at different points in the story. The characters were really great as a whole.
